Located just outside of McMinnville, this impressive complex is home to Howard Hughes’ famous “Spruce Goose,” many historic aircrafts, an extensive space museum, an IMAX theater, and an indoor water park. Evergreen Aviation and Wings & Waves Waterpark offers great activities for kids and adults alike, and is the perfect excursion on a rainy Oregon day.

Vista Balloon Adventures offers sunrise flights from April through October from here in Newberg. The breathtaking one-hour flight is followed by a full breakfast buffet complete with sparkling wine. HORSEBACK RIDING
Equestrian Wine Tours is a great local company that offers horseback rides through the scenic vineyards of the Dundee Hills. The tour lasts 2.5 hours and costs $190 per person (wine tasting fees are not included in the total cost). The tour leaves from Wine Coumry Farm, and dosed toed shoes and long pants are required.

DRIVE-IN THEATER
The 99W Drive Theater opened in 1953 and is a true gem in the Newberg community. Offering double features of both new and classic movies on Thursday through Sunday evenings, May through October, this is a fun, popular excursion for a weekend night. HIKING
Silver Falls State Park, the largest state park in Oregon located about an hour south west of us. The "Trail of Ten Falls" is a 7-mile loop showcasing 10 impressive waterfalls. You can hike the whole loop or as little as a mile, since there are many stops along the route with short
out-and-back hikes co certain falls.

The Oregon Coast is also full of beautiful vistas and some wonderful hiking opportunities. Cascade Head, near both Pacific City and Neskowin, is a great workout before you head co Pelican Brewing for a beach side beer. Outside of Tillamook, Cape Lookout is an easy 5 mile hike along the coastline for those that prefer a more relaxed pace. Other popular coastal attractions include the Tillamook Cheese Factory, N etarts Oysters, the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport as well as whale watching in the winter. Oregon's entire coastline is publicly owned, so there are plenty of opportunities beach-walking, too!

Closeby, you'll find the towns of Silverton and Mount Angel, both cute towns with great antique shopping. The Mount Angel Benedictine Abbey features its own brewery, fitting for a town is home to an annual Oktoberfest. Nearby, you'll find The Oregon Garden and Gordon House-Oregon's only Frank Lloyd Wright structure, which offers tours by advance reservation.

Historic Downtown McMinnville
McMinnville is the county seat and home ot an award-winning, historic downtown area cenered around Third Street. With boutique shopping, wine bars, art galleries and world-class restraunts, visitors are sure to be impressed by all of its offerings. A Farmers Market operates May through October on Thursdays from 12pm - 6pm. The nearby Granary District and Pinot Quarter is home to many wineries and tasting rooms.Make your way to McMinnville for brunch, do a little wine tasting, stroll along Third Street and enjoy an early dinner at one of the many award winning restaurants. During the summer months enjoy ‘Dine Outside’ on weekends, where downtown restaurants take over Third Street for additional outdoor seating and an excellent opportunity to explore the businesses that bring character to the area.
